Susan Silver, author and former TV writer for "The Mary Tyler Moore Show," “Maude,” "The Bob Newhart Show" and "The Partridge Family," among other series; will be hosting a talk followed by a book signing, reception and Q&A at Dogwood Books & Gifts. She will reminisce about her work in creating the character, Rhoda Morgenstern. For women of a certain age, these were iconic TV characters who were pioneers and became role models for professional careers. Ms. Silver was a trailblazing television sitcom writer at a time when women weren’t invited into the male-dominated industry.
